After earning my Masters in Taxation from the University of Washington, I worked in the international tax group at a Big Four accounting firm in Seattle. This experience provided valuable exposure to a variety of cross-border tax and business issues that have been a consistent theme in my practice to this day. This was followed later by a position in the Frankfurt, Germany office of an international accounting firm where I spent an additional two years bolstering my experience in the international tax field.
My international experience is complemented by some ten years of legal practice in the related fields of estate planning and business law, including succession planning for individuals and family-owned business. In addition to traditional estate planning vehicles such as wills and trusts, my practical experience includes aiding clients in establishing and operating private foundations, charitable trusts and supporting organizations.
In 2010, I moved to Dresden, Germany where I was admitted to the Bar Association of Saxony (Germany) as a foreign legal consultant. While there, I worked in cooperation a German law firm (www.biz-law.de) to advise German companies that either already had operations in the U.S. or were looking to enter the U.S. market. In addition, I ran a boutique translation office specializing in the field of legal translations. In late 2016, I moved to California with my family where I was admitted to practice in 2018.
I’m pleased to offer legal consultation in English and German.
Consultation on matters involving German law may be offered within the scope of my cooperation with the German law firm of BIZ | LAW (www.biz-law.de).

Craig received his B.A. in German and International Studies from the University of Oregon and spent a year studying at the University of Konstanz, Germany. He graduated from the Seattle University School of Law, cum laude, and holds a Masters in Taxation from the University of Washington School of Law.
Outside of work, I’m passionate cyclist where my greatest personal achievements include climbing three legendary passes from the Tour de France – Col du Galibier, Alpe d’Huez and Col de la Madeleine – and completing Seattle-to-Portland in one day (202 miles).
